Running Injury Specialists

Mark Green, one of our physiotherapists, specialises in the treatment of running injuries. He is a POSE qualified coach.
Mark is a runner, triathlete and multisport athlete himself. He has run a 2:33 marathon, finished 10th in the world multisport championships (running, cycling and kayaking) and most recently completed a 9:12 ironman triathlon in 2010.
During his 20 years in elite competitive sport Mark has suffered a number of serious injuries and he knows how important a consistent injury-free build up is when preparing for a race of any nature.
Experience will show that the athlete with the least interrupted build up to an event will have the most consistent performance on the day. Take a proactive approach to your training by identifying and addressing those niggly areas, before they become injuries.
Whether you are preparing for a particular cycling, triathlon or running event; or building back up post-injury, an assessment and graded program prepared by Mark will assist you in achieving a successful and sustainable training phase.
Mark has a very hands-on approach to treatment, and uses a combination of manipulation, mobilisation, soft tissue techniques and acupuncture. This is complemented with an appropriate sports specific exercise program and graded return to sport.
